Ep02 - Super Alan

WE ALL JAPAN TV caught up with the American “Super Gaijin Alan” (Nezumi Kozo) on the streets of Tokyo, just outside of Takenaka Soundshop in Togoshi-Ginza. Alan proceeded to tell us about his life, why he had come to Japan in 2009, and how he had fallen in love with the Japanese culture.

In 2003, at age 19, Alan went to see a Kottonmouth Kings concert in San Diego, California. That night an unknown Japanese band, RIZE, opened for the Kottonmouth Kings. Alan almost instantly fell in love with the band’s heavy beats, and after the show. Alan decided to start learning Japanese in College, in the hopes that he could someday communicate with all of his japanese friends.

in 2006 Tokyo, Alan performed live on stage as “Nezumi Kozo” for the first time at a club called Y2K ROPPONGI in Roppongi. That same summer, Alan met RAT at S&S Soundshop in Gotanda. Alan and RAT had a lot in common, and created the international rap group known as RATOxRATO (Rat and Rat). It was around this time that Alan knew he was destined to be a great Japanese comedian, just like his hero, “Hard Gay.”

In 2008, RATOxRATO performed live for the first time in Shibuya at club GIG-ANTIC as a freestyle rap comedy trio (featuring DJ Emil). In 2009 in Kouenji at club Kouenji Mission’s, Alan performed live with his bands RATOxRATO, J-STREET, and the 072BOIIZ, before merging the three groups into one super mega collaboration known to the world as PINSARO.

Alan returns to Japan every summer in hopes of someday becoming a full-fledged Japanese comedian. He is currently finishing up a new CD that he plans to release exclusively in Japan in 2010.

Currently, Alan is living in Oceanside, California, counting down the days until he can once more walk the streets of Togoshi-Ginza…

戸越銀座でネズミコゾウことスーパー外人アランを取材してきた。何故彼が日本にやってきたのか、日本のどのような所に惹かれたのか、聞くことができた。

２００３年、アランが１９歳の時、彼はサンディエゴでのコットンマウスキングのコンサートを見に行った。その時のライブの前座をしたのがRIZEだった。RIZEのへヴィーなビートにアランは一目惚れをしたと言う。それから日本人の友人と話す為に、彼は大学で日本語を学んだ。

２００６年、六本木のY２K ROPPONGIでアランはネズミコゾウとして初めてのライブを行った。その夏、アランは五反田のS&SサウンドショップでRATに出会った。彼らの共通点から、二人でインターナショナルラップグループ、RATO×RATO（RAT and RAT）を形成。この時アランは自分がハードゲイのようなコメディアンになる運命だと悟った。

２００８年、RATO×RATOは渋谷のクラブGIG-ANTICで、初めてフリースタイルラップコメディトリオ（featuring DJ Emil）として参加。２００９年には高円寺のクラブKOUENJI Mission’sでRATO×RATOの他、J-STREET、the 072BOIIZと共に参加。そのコラボレーション「PINSARO」を世界中に広める予定だ。

アランは日本で一人前のコメディアンになる事を夢見て毎年夏に日本に戻ってくる。現在は２０１０年日本でリリースする為のCD製作に励んでいる。

アランは現在カリフォルニアの海岸で、また戸越銀座に訪れる日の事を楽しみにしている。
